Matthewmatosis makes epic-length video game reviews, breaking them down as thoroughly as imaginable. He tends to either take on an entire game series at once, or to talk about underrecognized games.
Grant Beaudette is an animator who very briefly ran a series of analytical videos about the animation in My Little Pony, along with other animated works. While they are few in number, they’re some of the best analysis videos on animation that I’ve found.
MrBtongue (AKA Bobby the Tongue) makes lengthy video game analysis with a predilection for Western RPGs, and some of the most in-depth analysis of narrative mechanics that you’ll find in the gaming sphere. He also made up the word “Shandification,” and I think that’s pretty dope.
Tommy Oliver, also known as Bronycurious, achieved popularity as a My Little Pony analyst and reviewer, and has since begun broadening his subject matter into other fields. He puts a lot of emphasis on narrative coherence and pacing in his reviews, and is known for elaborate and interesting headcanons. He also writes fanfiction and does illustrations and comics.
Game Theory (Matthew Patrick) is a show about analyzing meta elements of games to come up with theories and headcanons about them. It’s central gimmick is taking games at face value and asking just how crazy their mechanics would be if brought into reality. It’s funny and fiercely entertaining if you can buy into MattPat’s voice and charismatic personality.
